Hi everyone. Dr. Kimmy here, CEO and founder of the Doctor Coach School, and I am excited to talk about this topic because I see this come up so much. In fact, I actually just did a call with a doctor and she mentioned this, and so because she mentioned this and I've heard it so many times before. I wanna talk about what happens when you feel like you are stuck or torn between two niches. So in this particular situation, the doctor I just spoke to, she is a lifestyle medicine doctor. She has a lifestyle medicine certification, but she also has a story. So she has her certification in lifestyle medicine. Also has a certification in obesity medicine because the people I work with are dope like that. And she also has her own personal story. So her like thought processes, I don't know which one to choose. Like I could choose. Between both of them. So I wanna speak to that first of all, and I wanna speak to the feeling like you're torn between niches. And I also wanna speak to exactly how I can help you to not be torn between two niches. Okay? So the first thing is I want you to ask yourself this question, and just from a neutral place, don't judge yourself, but I just want you to ask yourself this question. Am I torn between two niches because of identity or lack? Lack of belief, right? So here's what I mean by that. So many doctors, they have a story. They have something that they've overcome. They have something that they have moved through. They have something that they have been able to do in their life. But then they have a certification either from a life coach like company of some sort, or from like lifestyle medicine or integrative medicine and things like that, right? Or they are thinking about doing some sort of a clinical niche of some sort, right? So if you're a neurologist, you wanna coach chronic headache patients, or if you're an oncologist, you wanna coach. Cancer survivors, that sort of thing. And so my first question to you. Is just to get really honest with yourself. Are you not wanting to pick a niche or pick, make that decision because there is a lack of belief that your story right is enough. To be a successful coaching business, and is it that your identity is grounded in medicine, in doctoring and maybe it isn't. Maybe your story relates to medicine. Maybe your story relates to being a doctor. Maybe you know. Overcame cancer yourself, in which case it totally makes sense that you would wanna help other people who wanna overcome cancer. But what I notice with doctors, what we tend to do is we tend to wanna lean clinical, right? Because our brain tells us that there's nothing else we can do. Right, or we don't have any skills outside of medicine or we don't have people wouldn't pay us for something else that's not clinical, and I just wanna offer that's not true, right? That's a thought error. That's actually not true. That's not the case. It might feel true. But that doesn't mean it is true. Just because something feels true doesn't mean it is true. And so that's the first thing I just wanna say. Could it be, I'm just putting it out there. Could it be that. Your belief or lack thereof in your ability to make money outside of medicine is what's really keeping you torn between two niches or quote unquote stuck between two niches. I. Right, because again, in medicine, in doctoring, we tend to have this this inclination to believing that we can't do anything outside of medicine. I see it all the time. I see it all the time. I'm in so many Facebook groups with physicians, with women physicians, and we tend to say, like we're burnt out or we wanna do something different, but. I don't have any skills outside of medicine. Impossible. Impossible. Your clinical skills, your people skills, your ability to navigate a clinical encounter is a transferrable skill in terms of coaching? A hundred percent for sure. It's a transferable skill because your coaching. All day, every day. And you're selling. All day, every day. If you are a doctor, if you are a physician, you are necessarily selling, you're selling treatment plans, et cetera. So I just wanna offer, if you feel torn between two niches, if you feel like my story is over here and that's really what I wanna coach on, that's really what I would want to help people on. But I feel like pulled to do something in the medical realm of some sort. That's a belief issue. I wanna help you with that. I actually have a process to help you really own your expertise in your story. Now, if you want to still do a clinical niche, I got you. I have helped so many doctors I. With either adding coaching to their concierge practice, their direct care practice, or they, their niche is actually something clinical for whatever reason, mostly because it's related to your their story. I can help you do that, but I really wanna caution you against feeling like the only time you can move forward in your business. Is if there is a niche that is clinical or feeling like I need to figure this out before I move forward. I just wanna question that, right? Like, where is that coming from? And it's likely coming from a lack of belief. So that's the first thing. The second thing I wanna say is we are often hesitant to move forward because it feels like the. Fourth year of med school when we had to pick a specialty, right? Like choosing a niche. Picking a niche feels like picking a specialty. And in medicine we have to pick a specialty before we move on, right? That is what we need to do. But I just want to offer again, what if that's a thought error, right? So we've already covered one thought error. You thinking that you have to coach on something clinical. The next thought era is really like bringing in your medical like decision making, like when you were in med school into the creation of your offer. What if that's not the case? I. And I say that specifically when it comes to working with me, because what I'm gonna help you actually do is make a decision inside of the program. I have a proven process it has worked for every single doctor that I've worked with to help you make a decision. Not only will I help you make a decision. I will also help you to know which niche is going to be the most profitable for you. Because here's the thing, the niche that's gonna be most profitable for you is the niche that you feel most sold on. It's the you can make money in any niche. Like I can help you, right? I can actually help you make money in any niche. However, the niche you're gonna make the most money in is the one that you, where you have owned the expertise, where you are like fully just like walking in it and walking with certainty and confidence, because that's the first step of sales. If you're not sold on it, no one else is gonna be sold on it. And so not only that, I am also going to walk you through. The process of determining what I call a sticky offer, right? So I have an entire framework to help you break down exactly what niche leads to desire for your ideal clients. And so I have a process not only to help you break down your story, to figure out what niche you should go, what direction you should go in, but I also make sure that it's going to be an offer that people desire.'cause if no one desires it, we shouldn't be selling it, right? Like we wanna make sure it's something that really taps into desire. When I talk about sales psychology, that's step one of sales psychology is. Understanding how to tap into desire. So I'm gonna help you. Do that as well. And then what we're gonna do with the offer is we're gonna construct it in such a way that we infuse demand into it, right? So demand is not just like a naturally occurring thing that some people have and some people don't. And I think that's why so many of us are really sitting and waiting, right? Because we're waiting to see whether or not, or we're testing to see whether or not this is an offer people want. Instead of making it an offer that people want, like you can create that. You can decide your niche and then we build the demand in. It doesn't have to be done a priority. It doesn't have to be done before the fact. It can be done after the fact. Once you are sold on it. Once you are sold on it, then all we have to do is construct an O, the offer. In such a way that it communicates certainty and desire to your ideal clients. This is a simple process that I walk my clients through, right? It's called the IP to income blueprint. There are four steps to it, right? And so once we do these four steps, you're gonna have an in demand offer. You don't have to wait. The waiting, like I said, is us like trying to test the waters. A lot of times the way we try to test the waters as doctors, we do a few different things. For my doctor Dreamers, we're testing the waters in our head, right? So we're testing the waters by. We think that if we think about it enough and we process it, and we go and we watch enough and we see what other people are doing, and we go to the trainings and the master classes and all of that. That we'll be able to get a sense of whether or not this is a niche that will work instead of creating your niche to creating your offer to be one that works. Like you get to just create an offer that works, right? So you don't have to wait and see, or what we wanna do is we want a beta test. So we wanna put an offer into the world and we wanna charge 2 97, 3 90. Listen, if you're a doctor, you should not be getting outta bed for anything less than 5K. And I that's that on that's that. On that, you do not get out of bed for anything less than 5K. And if you are willing to sell an offer for anything less than 5K, that's a belief issue. And what you think is, you think by lowering the price, that's gonna get more people in, and it doesn't really, all it does is communicate your lack of belief. And so when people are hesitant to buy, or they're not buying, or they're unsure about buying, then we wanna lower the price even more. Or we wanna, we feel like we need to do more. I need to do more, whatever. More website development, more personal development. No, you just need to build your own belief and then build an offer that other people believe in when they see it. That's it. That's it. And so when I say you don't get out of bed for anything less than 5K, it's not just like a natural thing, right? Don't, you don't have to wait until you have that belief. Before you start, I'm gonna help you build that belief inside of IPMD. This is what we do. I have a process called the action Belief process that helps you believe, build belief in your ability to be a coach and in your ability to sign clients. I have processes for all of this. It doesn't have to be random. It's not like the haves and the have nots. Some people believe and then they make money and some people don't. When I was a procrastination coach. In 2020 and I wasn't making any money. None. It was because I wasn't believing, I didn't have belief, that people would pay high ticket prices for my offer. And then I also didn't understand how to structure the offer in a way that I would help them believe. So your belief coupled with your ability to structure the offer in a way. In such a way that other people look at it and they believe those are the only two things you need to make money. That's it, right? That's it. Those two things are what is gonna create demand. And then you go through the process of just activating that demand, talking about your offer, putting it out there into the world, et cetera, and you activate the demand. The demand that's already there, you activate it. Through those actions. But if you're waiting, right? If you're waiting, or if you're trying to do a slow buildup, a slow ramp up, like I'm, I'll charge 2 97, then I'll charge 1997 and it always ends with a seven. And no, don't, you don't have to do all of that, right? So many doctors are underearning, they're underearning in their business outside of work. They're either underearning because the business is just in their head and they haven't put it out into the world. Or they're underearning because they're undercharging. Or they're underearning because they don't know how to build demand. They don't know how to build an offer that creates demand or they don't know how to activate that demand. And then sell their offer. So there's three categories of underearning, and I don't like any of'em. I'm just frankly like we need to stop underearning. If you are a doctor you and your time and your expertise is valuable. The work that you have done to move from where you were before to where you are now. Is necessarily valuable. It is. And the only reason you are underearning is because of your lack of belief. And I wanna help you overcome that. And that's exactly what we do inside of IPMD. So IPMD is a six month program. Number one, the person wanted to know what my story was. I think that's so incredible.'cause I actually, and this is such a great lesson. I feel like I talk about my story all the time, and I feel like my story is everywhere. Like procrastination, coach, da, I feel like I have told you over and over that I overcame procrastination when I found that my mother had written a book by hand. And it was after she died and I cried out to God and I said, I want to, walk in my purpose. And then I started all these businesses that failed. And then I finally hired a coach and I realized that coaching was amazing and that I decided to become a procrastination coach. And go all in on that. But I didn't know how to actually get the people in the door. I didn't know how to sell. And that's when I decided to go all in on learning sales psychology so that I could actually get people in the door. And then that's when doctors were coming to me asking me how I was doing this. And that's how I transitioned into business coaching. And hence now we have the doctor coach school. I feel like I say that everywhere. And someone reached out and she's been on my email list and she joined the challenge and all of that, and she was like, I would love to know your story. And it was just such a great example of what we're gonna cover inside the demand activation intensive, because you gotta keep telling your story. You have to keep putting your ideas, your thoughts, your story out there into the world because you think that you've told it 60,000 times and your people are being bombarded, especially. In this day and age with this new cycle, like every day is something new, right? So if you are not willing and excited to put your work out there, you'll think that oh, people are just ignoring me. No, you just probably stopped putting your ideas and your thoughts and your story into the world. So that was the first question that was asked. The second question that was asked was, what if we miss a call? So here's the thing. Th this is like inside of IPMD. What if we miss a call? I'm a physician. I get it. I built my business while working full-time. I've made my first quarter of a million dollars in my business while working full-time. I have structured the program in such a way that missing a call is not gonna prevent you, or even missing several calls is not gonna prevent you from signing your first client point blank period. I refuse. To let you missing a few calls, prevent you from making money in your business. So I've structured the program in a way that it won't.
