Happy Friday afternoon, Dr. Kimmy here. CEO and founder of the Doctor, coach school. And I wanna talk about the concept of going from IP to income because that's what I help my clients do. That's what I have been able to do. And real quick, before we get started, I just wanna talk through what I know a lot of you guys are thinking. There's there's literally so much going on every single day. The news cycle feels like an article from The Onion, which is a satire newspaper. Like it doesn't even feel real. Like what? What's happening, what, what's really going on? And I just wanna offer, for those of you who are doctors and you want to be a coach, it probably feels like a really. Self-indulgent thing to be starting a business right now. Like you might be feeling guilty, you might be feeling irresponsible for having the desire to start a business with this climate with this foolishness that's going on, and I wanna offer that. Honestly, this is the best time to start a business. Is now. I know that sounds crazy. You know what, I'm gonna caveat that the best time to start a coaching business is right now. I don't know about other businesses. I'm a coach and my clients are coaches, so I lean into coaching, but this is truly the best time to start a coaching business. There are so many people who, because of what is happening in the news cycle right now. Are like, you know what? I, there's something that I wanna do and I'm done putting it off. I wanna get this thing done. I want to, do that thing right. Whatever that thing is. And there's a lot of like fear am I gonna be able to get that thing done with everything that's going on in the world? So I would say. Honestly, this is the time for coaches to step up. This is the time for coaches to step up. This is the time for us to lean in, not lean out, right? This is the time to lean in and actually help the people. I truly believe that. So you're not irresponsible for wanting to run a coaching business during this time. I would say. It actually is a responsible thing to do, to want to learn how to make money with your own brain at this time. So that's the first thing. I just wanted to get that out the way because I'm talking about how to create income in your coaching business and if you fundamentally feel like but like people are gonna judge me or it's gonna look selfish because I'm starting this at this time. Some people actually might think that I don't want to, dissuade you from thinking like people have thoughts. People probably think I look crazy. Selling, coaching during the introduction of a fascist re regime. Maybe it is. However, my, I have a client who just had her very first.$67,000, quarter,$65,000, quarter five or seven. She made a lot of money in the first quarter of the year. So yeah, maybe that's maybe it looks a way, right? Like for those who are like not really into what I do, it might look a certain way. I am heads down focused on my people. I'm heads down focused on the ladies that I serve, right? And helping them to move to the next level. And they don't, they aren't stopping their businesses. So I'm, I exist and my business exists to serve them. And I just wanna offer that there are people in the country and in the world who still have a dream, who still have a goal. And want to achieve it. And so the only reason coaching would feel like starting a coaching business at this time would feel like self-indulgent or would feel like self-centered is if you are centering it on yourself, right? If you are doing the things in your business that really center you. Oh I have to have a beautiful brand and a website, and I get asked all the time. Someone asked me today, she was like, do you help with branding because you do need that to make, to, have a business. And I said, I help my clients make money. I help my clients make money. If you are looking for someone to help you do the pretty stuff, that's not gonna be me. I help my clients make money, so I just wanna offer that as well. People are not gonna stop having dreams because of Trump, right? If anything, they're still gonna have a dream, something that they wanna achieve, and they're going to feel a little bit more oh, I don't know if I can get it done. But they're still gonna have the dream, and so they are still seeking support and guidance. My client that had the$65,000 quarter is a life coach, so that means that people still want to change their lives. So I wanted to preface before we get into how to turn your IP into income that like, you should not feel guilty about even wanting to turn your IP into income. Okay. So I just had to get that off my chest. Let's talk about how to move from IP to income, right? So I ha actually have a four step framework that I wanna walk you all through just to teach you the steps so you understand what you'd be doing inside of IPMD, what I help my clients to do. So before I talk about the steps as well, one other thing I wanna say that I want to kind of preface is. You don't need to be a therapist or a psychologist to develop intellectual property. The word intellectual property tends to spin people out a little bit. It makes you feel, it really make, can make you feel incompetent is what I've, my clients have said to me like, I don't know that I have what it takes to build ip. Like the word IP makes me feel like I'm not ready for that. And here's what I wanna say to that. For my doctors who have a specific transformation that they wanna walk someone else through because they've done it themselves. I just wanna say, if you have done it yourself, if you have done it yourself, then it is for sure true that you have intellectual property. Let's define intellectual property.'cause I think that's what causes a lot of the drama in our minds intellectual property is your unique thoughts, experiences, and the steps that you took to go from point A to point B. That's it. Now, it encompasses different things and we can talk about that. But the thought that like I, here's what the person said to me, she said. When I go to the therapist, she gives me all these tools and resources and like assignments, and I don't have any of that. And so I just wanted to say to you, anyone who has tools or resources or assignments or processes or frameworks, anyone who has ip, the only reason they have that is that they lived their life. They achieved a goal and then they looked back and said, okay, let me clean this up. Now let me take out the things that didn't work. Let me streamline the things that did work. Let me put a name to it and let me sell it to someone else. Or deliver it to someone else. So the notion that, you need to I'll say it like this. Nobody wakes up in the morning and says, I'm gonna create IP today. No, you create intellectual property, you create processes step by step, frameworks. You develop all of that by living it, right? And so even if to you it feels a little messy, or even if you're like I got some help with some of this and. It doesn't matter. You still have your own unique way that you moved through getting from where you were to where you are now. And because of that, that necessarily 100% does mean that you can help other people. So intellectual property, the words, I don't want it to make you feel like it's bigger than you. It's not. It is you. Your IP is you, your, the way you think about things, the way you process things, the way that you achieved that goal, there is some specific and unique way that you did it that is different than what everyone else has done. It has to be because you're different, right? So your IP is you. It's your story. It's the way you walk through the world. And people desire that. Like people want to learn from folks who have accomplished a specific goal. So how do you actually move from, because I said your IP is like your collection of thoughts, ideas, processes, like it's the step-by-step process you took to go from point A to point B. And even if right now you're like, I don't know exactly what that is, that's fine. If you did go from point A to point B, I want you to just trust that you do for sure have a process, a unique way that you did that. And so how do you then take thoughts and ideas and like steps that I took? How do I take that and then turn that into a program that someone else can do? The first thing you have to believe is you have to believe and know. And understand that your ability to help someone else right, is first predicated on your ability to help yourself. So what I mean by that is if you got results for yourself, that means you can get results for someone else. It is much harder to coach yourself and get results for yourself. So if you have a story, if you have something that you have achieved and moved through and overcome then you can. For sure. Help someone else. And so how do you do that? How do you take your thoughts and your ideas, your intellectual property and turn it into income in your coaching business? The first thing you have to do, so I'm gonna walk through four steps, okay? Of the IP to income blueprint. This is what I teach my clients and my programs. And this is what you are gonna be walking through an IPMD to sign your first. 5K to 20 K client as a coach. So the first thing, step one of moving from ip, right? Like just my thoughts and my beliefs and my ideas and my unique methodology. Moving to actual income is what I call the authority shift, and it's your internal belief and your selling yourself. On yourself, on your offer, on the transformation that you can provide, right? Because your internal belief is the very first sale. I have seen so many people who try, who skip this step, but they or they skip it, or they try to skip it and they wonder why it isn't working. They wonder why it isn't working. In fact, I spoke with someone today who. Has made over a hundred K in her business and then it stopped working, right? Like people stopped buying. However, it's not that people stopped buying because they don't wanna buy your offer anymore. People stopped buying because you stopped believing. So she actually said to me that lately she's been feeling like a fraud and she's not really, I'm not really sure that she can actually help people. And after she started adopting those beliefs, that's when her sales dried up. That's when her sales stopped. That's not a coincidence, right? I could quite literally sit at your computer. I could type up all of the Instagram posts for you to put on your Instagram page. For your offer, and I know how to sell, right? So I could do that for you. And yet, and still, if you don't have belief, if you're not fully sold on the value of the transformation that you can provide, people won't buy. Shifting From really and for those of us who are adopters, this is particularly important because our identity lives in medicine primarily. And so believing that you have an offer that's valuable, that you have a transformation as valuable can be quite challenging because medicine teaches us that we don't have, and this is implicit. It teaches it implicitly. It implicitly teaches us that we do not have any other skills other than being a doctor, which is wild and crazy because being a doctor itself is a transferrable skill. But for whatever reason, I hear that all the time. And so if you, and this is actually why so many people. Do the, like the pretty prep we could call it, right? They're on the hamster wheel of pretty prep, so either like certification after certification or branding websites or the all of the things, right? It's because we are trying to put wrapping paper over our lack of belief. It is like putting wrapping paper over. This is not a good, I'm not good with analogies, metaphors, all of that, so just bear with me. But that would be like putting wrapping paper over like a garbage bin, like it's pretty outside. Hear me out. It is pretty outside. The wrapping paper is beautiful, but the scent of the garbage is still gonna come through. Yeah. And therefore no amount of wrapping paper that you put on it is going to overcome that and make people want to buy that garbage. Can I, it makes sense in my head. Like the metaphor makes sense to me in my head. Hopefully it translated somewhat for you. So I have very specific processes I walk my clients through to do this work. The action belief process. The belief flow, the safety formula, like building a internal safety, building your own belief in your ability to help someone else has to be the first step. You literally won't sell anything without it. And so the authority shift is number one. That's the first thing we do in IPMD to help you move from income, excuse me, from IP to income. Like I always say that building belief is a revenue generating activity. Like you have to do that. You can't skip that step. So that's step number one. Step number two is developing your own transformation protocol. So this is where we take your story, your expertise, your thoughts, your unique way of moving through the world that you utilized to get the results that you got. And we extract that, right? We extract your own process from your story and your lived experience. Which again, I just wanna say that's what every single process that you've ever studied or seen is like somebody who was living life and got results and said, let me go figure out what I did. We extract that from your story, from your lived experience, and we turn it into a premium process that gets results. That's the key. I'm not just here to help you make money. I'm here to keep help. You keep making money, which client results is the number one way that is going to happen. Like your belief in yourself and your belief in your ability to help your clients get results are what will help you sign your first client. Up until helping you hit your first a hundred K in your business. That has to be, that has to be priority. And the thing is about the process that I use is that this is not like a copy paste framework, right? And this is not anybody else's tool like this. These are your own protocols. That you are going to develop because I am just crazy enough to believe that you're a guru in your own right. I don't believe that you need someone else's like stamp of approval. I believe that you have expertise. I believe that you have expertise and a process inside of you that can transform lives. I got asked this question yesterday like, do I need additional like training and like mindset coaching? And if you want to, you can do that in the future. I think that's fine. But what I see so many folks doing, so many doctors doing is delaying helping people to get another certification or another training, which again, is really just makes it about you and not about your person. The number one question clients are gonna ask you is, can you help me? That's it. That is the number one question they're going to ask you. And so your belief and your understanding that you can, and then crafting the offer in such a way that you are starting with the transformation protocol, that step-by-step process that's gonna help people achieve results that communicates to your person, that you can help them. I always say again, going back to the question of should I do like branding or learn, how to build websites and stuff. I really want us to get out of our own head about stuff like that. Get out of our own head and get into the head of our client. That's still psychology. If you can get out of your own head and actually get into the head of your person, you will start making money. The only reason doctors are underearning, chronically underearning, and there are literal let to get in trouble. Here we go. We are, I already set, I already started it. So here we go. There are literal communities created by doctors to help you under earn, so you feel like you need to stick with them and learn more, and perfect. And perfect. And I just believe you're ready now to start making money to start changing lives. Okay. So the second step to taking your ip, IP and turning into income is to develop your own protocol, your own process from your story that communicates. And we're gonna talk about this in this section where we talk about demand triggers which is next. That communicates so much to your ideal client. It helps them feel safe again, if we can get out of our own head and just get into the head of the people that we serve. So the next step is demand design, right? And I have a proprietary process of six demand triggers that I am gonna help you actually infuse into your offer. You're gonna be infusing these demand triggers. Into your offer. When you do this, it makes your offer feel urgent. It makes it feel obvious this is something I obviously should do and this will obviously get me results. And it communicates the value before you ever pitch. Before you ever pitch, right? The demand design aspect of the IP to income blueprint is when I really help you bake that sales psychology into your offer, because I think your offer should start selling before you start selling. Like you don't have to actually know how to sell really well, to sell really well, right when your offer is structured for demand. And when you build it based on the six demand triggers, what you then communicate is you communicate to your client that you can help them and that you are certain you can help them, which helps them to feel certain clients buy when they believe, when your offer in and of itself communicates that belief. That's the key. That is the key right there. Okay, so that's step three. Demand design. So we, we don't focus on putting the pretty bow or the pretty wrapping paper on, like the pile of garbage. What we do is we actually work from the inside out, starting with yourself, and then building your offer and then building the sales psychology into your offer so that there's demand from the beginning. So people see your offer and they're just like that. I want that. That is something that I need ASAP right now, right away. Okay, so that is step three. And then step four is demand activation. So what does that mean, not being passive, right? So building demand is an active process. It's taking your story, your ip, your thoughts into the world, taking your offer into the world. And being willing to do it imperfectly at first, getting feedback, refining and keeping moving, right? The biggest thing that stops doctors from making money in their business is they stop, right? They, something doesn't go exactly the way they thought it would, or it takes a little bit longer than they thought it would, right? But when you stop either before this step or during this step, that is really where you end up. Underearning, right? Or you start reverting to things that were ineffective. Building the website, doing the branding, getting another certification, changing niches, right? I need to change my niche because this one isn't working. It's not the niche. It is either your belief or your offer wasn't built for demand, or you're not activating that demand. That's it. If your offer is not selling, that's the only thing that could be going on. It's I, it's one of those three things. It's your belief and your offer, so you're not selling it with conviction. And people can feel that. Remember I said it's like putting a wrapping paper on garbage. The smell still comes through, like your lack of belief is like a smell essentially. People can feel it, right? So either you're not believing or your offer is not built to help your person believe. Which often that happens because we are in our own head and not in the head of our clients. We're in our own head and we're like, okay, let me do it for, a six week program for 1, 9, 9, 7. And a lot of times that's about you. That's about your lack of belief in yourself, and you're not thinking about what's the best thing for the client, what's the best thing to help the client get results? And people can feel that. People can sense that. And so building your offer for your person infusing that sales psychology and that demand in, and then being willing to show up and activate that demand again, you don't have to really learn how to sell very well yet. And I teach sales, right? So selling is important. Marketing is important. I love it. I think it's incredible. But when you have an offer that's built on demand, that's like the fire and then the sales and marketing are like the, what is it called? Lighter, fluid, child. So gasoline, I told you metaphors, me and metaphors we're not besties. I often mess them up. So you gotta activate the demand, right? Like you gotta get out there and share your offer. I have a client who, she's an IPMD, she shared her offer last week. She has two sales calls booked and a bunch of other people reaching out to her. That's what I mean about activating that demand. So that's the IP to income blueprint. Those are the four steps that we do inside of IPMD. IPMD is a six month program that helps doctors become coaches. I help you become not just a coach, but an in-demand coach with an in-demand offer. And I help you sign your very first client, your very first 5K to 2020 K high ticket client, and I help you become a coach, like really stepping into and owning your coach energy. Stepping into thought leadership, developing your own unique protocol and process that is unique to you, right? So you're not going under someone and learning from them like you are the someone. People are gonna come under you to learn from you. That is my belief, and I know it's crazy'cause I know what people are telling you to do. I know they're telling you to. Go to this program and that program and all the programs. I get it. And yet still, I believe that you are the expert. Like you're the one. I truly believe you're the one. So that's IPMD. IPMD is a six month program, and like I said, I help you go from wanting to be a coach to being a coach with an in-demand offer. And I help you sign your very first client. And the only thing you need to bring to the program is your story. That's it. Bring your story. That's it. I got you. With everything else, bring, if you're like I don't wanna join, because there's like other baggage I have. There's other things. Let's talk about some of the baggage, niche confusion. Bring it, just bring the niche confusion with you. I will help you. In fact, I have a one-on-one niche guidance call, which I don't do one-on-one anymore, so like this is probably the last round I'm going to be, I'm gonna be offering that, but you can bring your niche confusion. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna walk you through your story. And really break down what was the transformation or transformations, right? What was the first one? What was the second one? And we'll clear it up. I have a framework called the sticky framework that helps you to know exactly what an in-demand offer is. What do people actually desire? So we're just gonna evaluate and we're gonna decide, but I'll help you now. Often. Both of them. If you're between two niches, both of them can make money, right? So it's really just about you needing to decide. And a lot of times you're gonna, you're gonna think you need clarity. That's not a thing in business, clarity is not a thing. You just need to decide, right? So if it's a niche that is not gonna make you money, I am going to let you know. I'm gonna be like, I don't think we should do that. I don't think you should start like a dog walking like. But I will let you know, okay? But for the vast majority of you, both niches will work. It's about what you decide, but I help you with that. So you can even bring your niche confusion, bring it with you, right? So bring your story. If you also have niche confusion, bring it with you if you have, this is big. I need y'all to hear me. If you don't trust yourself because you showed up in a past program and you didn't do the work. Or for whatever reason, it didn't work for you and you fell off or whatever. It was like, bring your lack of trust as well. I have processes to help you build and rebuild yourself. Trust in your belief. That's the first thing we do. You cannot be a coach without actually going first and being your first client, building your own belief. It's impossible. And so you can bring that as well. I got you. I've got you. I understand the lack of trust that you might be having in yourself. You may need to just borrow my belief in you for now.'cause I truly believe that every single doctor is an expert that can make money in her coaching business. I wouldn't have a job if I didn't believe that, and I wouldn't have helped. Dozens of doctors start from zero. And make money. So another thing you can bring, right?'cause we're talking about the baggage that some of you guys you're like with Dr. Kumi, I have all this baggage, right? Another like piece of baggage you might feel like you're bringing is like a lack of experience. Heavy on the air quotes though, because it's not true. But that's what your brain tells you. Your brain tells you, you don't have experience. I actually don't think that's true, but let's just say it was true. Let's just say it is right. Bring it. Bring it to IPMD as well. If you feel like you don't have experience. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you exactly the steps you took to go from point A to point B. All I'm gonna do is show it to you, right? I'm gonna help you to map it out. I have helped so many doctors who have never made money in the past. They've never made money. Never made a dime. And they start with me and they make money. So your lack of experience, I don't have, I've never signed a client. It matters. Not, or I signed a client once, like two years ago. Great. I got you. So your lack of experience, you can bring that as well. Like all of all the baggage that you don't wanna bring, I want you to bring it. I have a system and a process. I have a coaching tool for that. I have a process for that. I have a framework for that. I've got you. And there's so much support inside of the program that you're not gonna be just a number. I not only will you be coaching with me, I also have a dedicated client success concierge. Her whole job is to make sure that you make money. Which is also my whole job as well. But she is also working with me and the coaching team to make sure that you are getting what you need so you're not gonna slip through the cracks. So the other program where you felt like a number, you got overwhelmed or you took yourself out of it. I'm gonna I am going to be with you. Okay, I'm gonna support you. I'm gonna guide you. Now you are going to show up, but you're gonna do it from a place of desire, not from a place of oh my gosh. Like I better show up'cause I'm gonna lose my money. No, like in module one, I'm really gonna help you tap into your belief in your desire for this. Because if you have wanted to be a coach for years and years and it hasn't happened, there's probably a small part of your brain that's I don't know if this is ever going to happen. I'm not really a hundred percent sure. I'm gonna help reignite your own belief and resell yourself on your ability to transform lives. And again, like I said, in this climate, we need all the help we can get y'all. We need all the coaches. Okay. To get out of their own head and get into the head of their clients so you can serve people, right? So if you're watching on Facebook or Instagram now or on the replay and you're like, okay, Dr. Kimmi, I have other baggage too, have other things that like, I don't really know. Just message me. Be like, okay, but Dr. Kim, you said. You can help me. What about if this, what about if I have that? Here's another one. I don't have a clear niche or I don't have a narrow niche. My niche is broad. Awesome. My client who's a life coach, just made 60 5K in Q1. Of this year as a general life coach with a high ticket offer, bring your broad niche. Okay, I got you. There is a way to make your niche in demand, even if it's broad. It's all about messaging. It's all about language. It's all about positioning. It's all about the psychology of sales. Like it's very simple. It's very simple to do that. And so you can bring that as well. Now the, then there's like the other half of you who are like, no, but it's so specific. I don't think there's enough people in the world who have that. There are 8 billion people in this world. I don't care if your niche is helping people make baskets underwater, upside down, somebody will buy it. Now I'm gonna coach you to not have that niche, but let's just say your niche is super, super specific. My niche is specific. I help doctors who wanna be coaches. That's a small niche and yet, and still I make money in my business. Because of the language. Which is something you can learn. It is not above you or outside of you. Okay. So whatever it is, bring it. I got you. Okay. So I don't think I finished telling y'all about the program. If I did, I'll just. I'll start over. And so I wanna help you learn that process. It's not by happenstance, it's not that like it works for some people and some people it doesn't. It there's a process to it. So I'm gonna teach that to you live. That part will then go and live in the portal. But first I'm gonna teach it to you live, which is gonna be incredible'cause you get to ask questions, get feedback and all of that, and really like just be in the energy of the room. So that's that. And so that's the curriculum. And then we have the coaching. I'm a coach. I coach, so I, this is not gonna be like generic q and a, it's going to be coaching. I'm gonna, I'm gonna be busting through your brain's limiting beliefs. Okay. With the processes I use, my AV process, my action belief process, the belief flow, the safety formula, all of those things like. I call her your inner cave woman, your amygdala. She's gonna get, she's gonna have a lot of thoughts. Like she's going to present fear to you. She's going to present imposter syndrome to you. Although imposter syndrome, like none of us should be having imposter syndrome right now. Have you watched the news like. Imposter syndrome, should be dead from here on out. Okay? But even if you have it, I'm gonna help. I'm gonna coach you through that, and that's every single week. What's so powerful about that as well is like watching me coach other people. You are also going to be coached, right? Because they likely have a similar challenge or problem. But also if you're gonna see the dynamics of showing up in a container and coaching, right? You're gonna see how I help. People overcome their limiting beliefs and push through failure and that sort of thing, which is only gonna help you when you're coaching your clients. And then a bonus in terms of coaching. Since we're talking about coaching, I am like, did I already say this? That I'm doing a one-on-one? I think I told you all that, but let me just say there's only six spots left. So like you gotta book your call before March 31st to get one of the six spots that's left. We have coworking sessions as well as so you can cowork with each other and at the end of the six months, you are a coach with a transformational offer that communicates that you can help your people. So you are an in demand coach with an in demand offer and you've signed your first client. And some of us we wanna skip to. A hundred K in our minds, but we haven't even signed our first client or our first high ticket client, right? And actually seeing that process all the way through. I wanna invite you, I want to invite you to not skip or think that signing your first client is not enough, or it's too small of a goal. Absolutely not. The 10th client comes from what you learn by signing the first client. So that's why we go all in and help you sign your first high ticket client. And then also I wanna be with you even as you're working with that client to help you get that client results.
